EXPERIENCE
10+
YEARS OF PRACTICE
Sleep can affect so much more than the night itself. It shapes how we feel, function, recover — and how supported everyday life feels.
Dr. Ayan Merchant’s work is centred around helping people make sense of their sleep more clearly and find a steadier, more practical way forward. She works with individuals, athletes, and teams, bringing together sleep-focused support, psychology, and a deep understanding of recovery and performance.
The foundation of the work
Her work is grounded in both academic and applied experience. Her experience spans independent consulting, research, teaching, counselling, behavioural assessment, and work inside sports environments.

03
Athlete sleep and recovery
04

A thoughtful approach
Rather than offering generic advice or one-size-fits-all solutions, Dr. Merchant works to understand the person, the pattern, and the context around the difficulty. From there, the aim is to build support that feels practical, personalised, and manageable over time.
-
Understanding the full picture, not just the symptom
-
Looking at sleep, stress, routine, recovery, and context together
-
Offering support that feels realistic in day-to-day life
-
Focusing on long-term change over quick fixes
